Today, we celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible impact of women and girls in our communities and around the world.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us of a powerful truth: when we invest in women and girls, everyone benefits. When we give support, opportunities, resources, and encouragement, we gain stronger communities, brighter futures, and lasting progress.

At AAF, we believe that empowering women is not just the right thing to do — it is essential for sustainable growth and meaningful change. Every opportunity created, every voice amplified, and every barrier removed opens the door for women and girls to thrive and lead.

Across our community, we see the results of this every day. Women stepping into leadership roles, young girls discovering their potential, and communities growing stronger because women are given the chance to contribute fully.

But “Give to Gain” also calls on all of us to act. It challenges individuals, organisations, and communities to actively support women — through mentorship, education, advocacy, and creating inclusive spaces where every woman and girl can succeed.
